A ugust Equity are a private equity company who wanted to distinguish themselves from the corporate feel of many of their contemporaries, which gave us the opportunity to create a fresh, modern website.
The site was built using XHTML and CSS on the PHP open source CMS Drupal, which has a steep learning curve but compensates with its flexibility. Drupal’s default templates output a lot of unnecessary code, so part of the challenge was to over-write them with cleaner, leaner, more semantic code.
We launched the new look in June 2008, and changes based on feedback and analytics are still ongoing.
